Editorial manager for the Dutch ad-free online journalism platform De Correspondent.
Having been at De Correspondent in various positions since its start-up phase, she has seen the platform grow to 60,000 paying members. Maaike also works as the Dutch project lead for the Membership Puzzle Project, a joint research project into membership models in news with New York University.
Previously she worked as a journalist, website editor at the European Journalism Center and project assistant at Free Press Unlimited.
