The task of design has changed radically: Technology and globalization have significantly changed the way design is produced and received by consumers today. What qualities should designers possess in order to be able to remain focused in a very rapidly changing market? And how can we create design in relation to the environmental, social and cultural challenges we are facing today?

Hunter Tura, CEO of Bruce Mau Design, provides a number of ideas on what the designer’s role will be in the future, what sustainability in the industry will mean for both form language and product development – and how we can prepare for it.

Canadian graphic designer Bruce Mau was the man who declared in the 90s that “everything is design”. He was also the designer who, together with Dutch star architect Rem Koolhaas, published the architecture and design bestseller S,M,L,XL. Founded in 1985, Bruce Mau Design is a multidisciplinary design firm specializing in brands & environments. The company develop brand systems, including visual identities, consumer packaging, digital experiences and physical environments.

The session will be in English.
